Using Acrylics in an Aqueous Manner

Yeah. You people know who you are! I have been challenged to get a piece into the Florida Watercolor Society Show. So here's my new piece per instructions. "Using acrylics in an aqueous manner...". Nothing ventured. Nothing gained. Butter Me Up.

Abundance Lesson

Few things are more satisfying for an artist than a well executed redo. I had this abstract piece called Abundance for sometime and ironically, it was lacking. So I added a blue jay and some sky and it all came together. Focal point. It now has one. Focus. I believe I now have more. Synergy. The  whole is now greater than the simple sum of its parts. Hasn't that always been the lesson of abundance?

Little Slugger

Finished! Little Slugger got worked on at my demo for the Leesburg Art Association at the Leesburg Center for the Arts. This was a great example of the balance between what to cover up and what to leave revealed. I just loved the pattern of the outfit but it was seriously clashing with the original background patterns. Think this works...
