Fabric Bowls

This past weekend was project weekend in our house. I found a fabulous paper mache project online from Bread & Buttons (UPDATE-SORRY THIS LINK NO LONGER WORKS! I DONT KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM) that both my 8 year old and I just had to try. We love how they came out! Nate’s bowl is the blue and yellow bowl and mine is the orange and red. We both worked on them together but we each made independent design choices.  Nate chose yellows (his favorite) and blues- the colors of Cub Scouts and the Madeira flag. I chose oranges (my favorite) and the fabric that has the fabulous little drawings of young boys on them. The boy at the bottom of the bowl completely reminds me of Nate when he was young. The boy on the side is Nick pulling out his tooth 2 weeks ago.  Who said bowls should have to hold water anyways?  We voted process on Bread & Buttons and we had so much fun!
